Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor
The Indiana University department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences invites applicants for a full-time (12-month) non-tenure track visiting faculty position in speech-language pathology available at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor. This one-year appointment is renewable for the 2022-23 academic year subject to programmatic need, positive instructional evaluations, and availability of funding. This is an exciting opportunity to join the faculty in a new state-of-the-art Health Sciences Building along with the Indiana University Schools of Medicine, Nursing and Social Work.
The position requires a Master’s degree or PhD in speech-language pathology, ASHA certification (CCC-SLP), and Indiana state licensure in speech-language pathology by the date of employment. Responsibilities include 1) clinical supervision of speech-language MA students, 2) application of accreditation standards across clinical experiences 3) select administrative responsibilities, and 4) service to the department, university and professional communities.
Required: Clinical expertise with adults (neurogenic communication disorders and dysphagia) and two hours of professional development in the area of supervision post-certification. Preferred: Three years of experience as a clinician, supervision experience, and experience working with diverse populations.
