This webinar will introduce participants to the concepts of ableism and anti-ableism within the context of speech-language pathology and audiology (SLPA). Examples and impacts of ableism will be discussed and strategies for integrating anti-ableist practices will be shared. Participants will work through a case study to practice identifying and addressing ableism within the context of SLPA. Participants will then reflect on their own practice experiences, identifying an instance of an ableist practice or policy they have participated in and the harm that this could cause or has caused to clients.
