Erin Lundblom
Erin E.G. Lundblom, Ph.D., is an associate professor and the director of clinical education for the Speech-Language Pathology program at the University of Pittsburgh. Lundblom has worked in various pediatric and adult clinical settings including a position as a clinical instructor in an campus based clinic. Her areas of clinical and research interest include school-based language and literacy services including service delivery options and best practices in clinical education including the SoTL. Lundblom has presented at regional, state, and national conferences about clinical education. She has routinely attended the annual CAPCSD conference with more recent contributions focused on presentations about clinical education. Lundblom has provided many years of service to her state professional organization (PSHA—Pennsylvania Speech-Language Hearing Association) in various roles ranging from Publications to Convention Planning. She has also contributed to the Council of Academic Programs in CSD. First as a member of the online professional development committee, then as the chair of the committee, and more recently as the vice president of online professional development.
Michael Bamdad
Michael J. Bamdad has focused his clinical and research activities on patients with traumatic brain injuries and their families for over 30 years. He has been published and speaks nationally and internationally on the topics of executive functioning deficits and pragmatic disorders. He is currently working as the Director of Clinical Education in the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
Prachi Bengeri
Prachi Bengeri, M.S., CCC-SLP is the Clinical Director and Assistant Professor at St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Prachi has clinical experience in outpatient and in home services, primarily with young children. Her areas of expertise and interest are clinical education, autism spectrum disorders, early childhood speech and language, and executive functioning in children. Specifically, Prachi is interested in studying and exploring clinical educator preparation in graduate programs. Prachi currently serves on the Clinical Education Committee in CAPCSD.
Jennifer Friberg-Fort
Dr. Jennifer C. Friberg-Fort is the Cross Endowed Chair in SoTL at Illinois State University where she also serves as a professor of communication sciences and disorders. She is the co-editor of two recent volumes: Scholarship of Teaching and Learning in Communication Sciences and Disorders (2024) and Evidence-Based Education in the Classroom: Examples from Clinical Disciplines (2022). Friberg is a founding editorial board member of TLCSD.
Kimmerly Harrell
Kimmerly Harrell, PhD, CCC-SLP, BCS-CL is an Associate Professor in the department of speech-language pathology. She specializes in language and literacy disorders and is a Board-Certified Specialist in Child Language. Before coming into academia Kimmerly worked as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Georgia and Florida for over 8 years. Prior to becoming an SLP she worked as a Service Coordinator for an early intervention system and as a Mental Health Disability Coordinator for Head Start. Kimmerly's other clinical and research interests include assessment and intervention of reading comprehension and vocabulary acquisition in culturally and linguistically diverse adolescents, cultural competence and humility in graduate education, and school-based issues in speech-language pathology. She also uses her knowledge and expertise to provide therapy and professional development in Haiti, Kenya, and Jamaica.
Kerry Mandulak
Kerry Mandulak is a professor at Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR. She teaches courses in Stuttering, Voice Disorders, and Cleft & Craniofacial Conditions at the graduate level, and Speech Science and Anatomy & Physiology at the undergraduate level. Her research is focused on feasibility and outcomes of holistic review for graduate admissions in CSD. Kerry serves as the co-facilitator of the CAPCSD Admissions Summit with Danai Kasambira Fannin, which is held biyearly. She and Danai, in collaboration with CAPCSD, hold summit community meetings monthly, where relevant and important topics around admissions are discussed, and the community is mobilized to do outcome studies.
Erica Williams
Erica Williams, Ph.D., CCC-A, is a Clinical Professor in the College of Health Solutions at Arizona State University. She is currently the Program Director and Clinical Placement Coordinator for the Doctor of Audiology Program. Dr. Williams teaches academic coursework in auditory/vestibular pathologies and diagnostics. She is a clinical educator in the ASU Speech and Hearing Clinic, providing services primarily in adult diagnostics, vestibular evaluation, and amplification. She also participates in an annual hearing healthcare service trip to Guaymas, Mexico in conjunction with the Mesa West Rotary Club, and also provides volunteer services in conjunction with St. Vincent de Paul. She is professionally active in national service opportunities as a member of the Council for Clinical Certification (CFCC) and the incoming 2023 Vice-Chair for Audiology. Additionally, Dr. Williams is a member of the CAPCSD Membership and Conference Planning Committees as well as starting her term as a CAA Site visitor.
Heidi Verticchio
Heidi Verticchio, Ed.D., CCC-SLP, is the Clinic Director and Director of Advisement in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Illinois State University. Her primary responsibilities include managing the business operations of the on-campus Eckelmann-Taylor Speech and Hearing Clinic. Additionally, Heidi is the academic advisor for graduate students in speech-language pathology and audiology. Heidi has taught CSD 432: Professional Issues. Heidi has served as the Chairperson of the Conference Planning Committee for CAPCSD and volunteered in several capacities for CAPCSD. Additional contributions include presentations and publications in the discipline.
Jana Waller
Jana Waller, MS, CCC-SLP is an associate dean in the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance (HSHP) at Ithaca College. She supports the departments of Exercise Science and Athletic Training (ESAT), Health Sciences and Public Health (HSPH), Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (SLPA), and the Pre-Health Professions Program. Ms. Waller holds the rank of clinical associate professor and teaches graduate seminars in professional practice in SLP. Her scholarship includes publications and presentations on innovative approaches for preparing future SLPs and other allied health professionals.
Ned Campbell, DES
Ned has almost 40 years of experience working with non-profit organizations, primarily in membership, continuing education, and event planning. Ned serves as the Executive Director for CAPCSD.
In his new position, Ned will provide extensive support to the Board of Directors and its committees, manage the membership program, contribute to annual conference planning, and supervise The Lisa Scott Leadership Academy, DEI Academy, and Admissions Summit. He will coordinate scholarships, oversee professional development initiatives, and maintain the organization's website. Ned will manage the CAPCSD Team, administration, financial record-keeping, and contract management.
Ned is an active member of the American Society of Association Executives and serves as a volunteer for United Way.
Outside his professional endeavors, Ned enjoys spending quality time with his family in Florida and Georgia, his two dachshunds, and hiking.
Mandie McKenzie, CMP
Mandie began as Director of Professional Development for CAPCSD in June 2023. Her professional background includes managing meetings, events and conferences in a destination management company, nonprofit organization, city government agency, and two professional associations, in both professional and volunteer capacities.
She is a member of the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) North Florida Chapter and served on the Board of Directors for multiple years. Mandie served with other Florida chapter leaders on a statewide committee for the state's regional conference. She earned her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) professional designation through the Events Industry Council in 2014 (recertified in 2019, 2024). She is also a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
Outside work, Mandie enjoys spending time with her husband and their two teenagers. The McKenzies live in Jacksonville, FL. She loves reading, watching true crime shows, creating table settings, and cheering on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Colleen Schneider
Colleen began working in the role of Professional Development Manager for CAPCSD in September. She is excited to be part of the team and will be responsible for the coordination of webinars, professional development programming, execution of exhibitors, and sponsor activities for the Annual Conference, along with assisting the CAPCSD Executive Director.
Colleen comes from the association and hospitality industry. With over ten years of hotel service, her experience includes event planning, catering, and sales. Colleen later joined the professional association market industry to lead two large associations in Colorado for the past seven years.
Colleen resides in Denver, CO with her husband and two kids. They love exploring beautiful Colorado.
