About

CAPCSD’s 44th Annual Conference is themed Jazz it Up: Ascending to New Heights and it will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana, at the New Orleans Marriott.

For the past 45 years, our conference has been held in a variety of cities across the United States. It has a reputation for being a leading conference in speech-language pathology and audiology education. Faculty and staff in speech and hearing departments throughout the nation and abroad benefit from the opportunity to collaborate, connect, explore, and learn together about issues unique to our discipline.

The 2024 conference will build on the huge success of the 2023 conference in Orlando, FL, and use your feedback to create a vibrant, engaging event where you can learn and exchange ideas with your colleagues.

What's New in 2024?

CAPCSD is excited to announce the 2024 CAPCSD Virtual Conference! This format provides accessibility to our members and non-members to earn ASHA CEUs without the costs of airfare, travel, full conference registration, and multiple days away from personal and professional obligations. 

• (6) sessions total which qualify for ASHA CEUs (0.6 CEUs)
• Two sessions which qualify for ASHA DEI CEUs 
• One session which qualifies for the ASHA Ethics CEU 

The 2024 CAPCSD Virtual Conference will also be made available in an on-demand format for those who will attend the Annual Conference in-person at a discounted rate. In-person Annual Conference registrants are encouraged to use the Add-On option at the time of Annual Conference Registration to get their discounted rate!

Conference Location

The New Orleans Marriott welcomes you to Louisiana with style, substance, and unparalleled service. Our 4-star hotel is nestled on NOLA's Canal Street, between the French Quarter and the Warehouse District.
