Generation Z differs from other generations. Review academic and clinical education models, tips and tools related to the clinical and academic education of SLP students in Generation Z. The discussion of Generation Z will include demographic information, an understanding of trends related to college education, diversity, and other factors, and information regarding the general characteristics of individuals within this generation.
Review various characteristics of Generation Z and approaches to supervision and teaching that meet the needs of this group of students including well-known supervision and instructional models. Some discussion areas will include authenticity, creativity, artificial intelligence, learning styles, mental health, communication, social networks, technology, and more. Each area discussed will provide information, including available research, about these areas. The author will then provide concrete tips and techniques to effectively meet Generation Z's needs in each area. Some areas will include downloadable templates for attendees to implement immediately.
