Description

CSD programs vary widely in their size, location, and areas of focus, but they all share common charges 1) preparing students to support communication as a human right for all in the population, and 2) meeting ever-growing workforce demands in speech-language pathology and audiology. To meet these charges, this session provides information on how to leverage data to guide strategic planning for CSD programs. Attendees will learn about key considerations in strategic planning for CSD programs. Next, they will learn how to connect these considerations with data specific to their institutions, communities, and regions. Then, attendees have the opportunity to apply these resources to their programs, with a walk-through of a sample data-driven plan that they can adapt during or after the webinar. Finally, the session will host interactive discussion to support successful acquisition of knowledge, content, and skills, such as communicating the plan with organizations, communities, and the public; identifying next steps for data-driven program development; and applying this approach to other aspects of program planning (e.g., faculty and staff development).
