About the Position

The Department of Speech-Language Pathology at Hardin-Simmons University welcomes applicants interested in serving as an adjunct instructor for either the undergraduate (CSD) or graduate (SLP) programs. As an adjunct, the instructor may teach either face-to-face on the Hardin-Simmons Campus OR synchronous/asynchronous online. The department is willing to work with the interested individual to determine courses based on his/her area of expertise (adult or pediatrics). The adjunct must have a love for teaching and previous teaching experience is preferred. The interested candidate would join a dynamic faculty dedicated to the success of our students and our growing programs.

Hardin-Simmons University is a private, faith-based institution whose mission is to provide students with “an education enlightened by faith.” Located in Abilene, this beautiful campus in West Texas offers a supportive environment for faculty. The CSD program will work hand in hand with the SLP program on campus. This is a full-time, 9-month, position at the Assistant Professor level available July 1, 2025. The successful candidate may be eligible for tenure-track depending on qualifications.
