Assistant/Associate Professor, Communication Disorders, #54900
The Department of Communication Disorders at the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) is recruiting a full-time tenure-track Assistant or Associate faculty member for our growing speech-language pathology program. All areas of speech-language pathology expertise will be considered. The department values evidence-based and innovative academic and clinical instruction, community interaction, cross-discipline training, and culturally responsive practices. The successful candidate will provide undergraduate and graduate students with engaging clinically-focused learning opportunities in both clinical and academic environments through face-to-face, blended and online delivery methods; develop a line of research and seek extramural finding; advise students; and participate in university governance, curriculum planning, and functions to support the development and growth of the department and institution.
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a doctorate in Communications Disorders or a closely related field. Candidates must be AHSA certified (CCC-SLP), and licensed or eligible to be licensed as a speech-language pathologist in the State of Nebraska.
Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching, research, and service experience, rural community outreach expertise/interest, and online teaching experience. Experience supervising students in either the academic or clinical environment.
