Assistant/Associate Professor, Tenure-Track
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) at the University of Central Arkansas invites applicants for a 9-month, full-time tenure-track Assistant/Associate professor rank. Expertise in all areas of speech-language pathology will be considered, but applicants with specific expertise in low-incidence areas are especially encouraged to apply. Expertise in all areas of speech-language pathology will be considered, but applicants with specific expertise in low-incidence areas such as neurogenic speech-language disorders, voice disorders, and medical speech-language pathology are especially encouraged to apply. Required Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a research doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in Communication Disorders or a closely related field. Exceptional applicants who are ABD (all but doctorate) will be considered. All applicants must be ASHA certified and Arkansas licensed or eligible to be licensed in Arkansas (CCC-SLP).
Job Duties:
The successful candidate will provide undergraduate and graduate students with engaging experiential learning opportunities in both clinical and academic environments, develop a line of research and seek extramural funding, and participate in university governance, curriculum planning, and functions to support the development and growth of the department and institution. Desired start date: August 16, 2025.

Our Department:
Housed in the College of Health and Behavioral Sciences, the CSD Department offers both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders. The Department has 12 full-time faculty who teach approximately 170 undergraduate students and 70 masters students. The Department values diversity and inclusion and encourages interprofessional academic and clinical activities. In addition, the Department is home to the UCA’s Speech-Language-Hearing Center and shares clinical space with the Interprofessional Teaching Center, where we offer on-campus services to clients of all ages and abilities.

The campus is widely acclaimed for its beauty. UCA is located in Conway, Arkansas, a thriving city of approximately 60,000 in central Arkansas and 30 minutes from Little Rock, the capital city.
