Assistant clinical professor (12 months; 2 positions)
Position Description:
The Ithaca College School of Health Sciences & Human Performance invites applications for two full-time clinical instructor/assistant professor positions in our online modality master’s program within the department of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology, to begin January, 2025, or as soon thereafter as possible.
These are multi-year renewable notice (MYRN) three-year, 12-month appointments; the positions may be fully remote. The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching courses in their areas of expertise, as appropriate to the candidate’s background. One of the positions requires expertise in pediatric speech and language development and disorders. The other position requires expertise in medical speech-language pathology, neurogenic communication and swallowing disorders, and related areas. Some scholarly activity is required.

Qualifications: Position requirements: Ph.D. or Ed.D. in communication disorders or speech-language pathology or closely related field—ABD considered but degree must be earned by start date; Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association; potential for excellence in online teaching and commitment to online education. Excellent time management and organizational ability; strong communication skills. Special consideration will be given to candidates who can demonstrate: prior experience in academic teaching in a postsecondary setting, especially online; experience in supporting diversity, equity, inclusion, access and belonging initiatives; scholarly record.

The Department of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology at Ithaca College recently celebrated its 100th anniversary.
