
Assistant Clinical Professor
Ohio University, Department of Hearing, Speech & Language Sciences, seeks applications and nominations for a non-tenure track clinical faculty position at the level of Assistant Clinical Professor. It is a full-time 9-month academic year appointment starting August 16, 2025. Job duties include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, clinical supervision of students in the M.A. SLP program, and service to the department and university. Engagement in research as part of this position is negotiable. Collaborative and successful faculty are available to mentor in in teaching, clinical supervision, and research. The ideal candidate will have experience and expertise in one or more of the following areas: motor speech disorders, fluency disorders, and voice disorders, along with strong interest in teaching anatomy and neuroanatomy courses, phonetics, and speech science. We are seeking candidates with strong interests and skills in each of the following areas: a) commitment to working effectively with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds; b) organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to relate to diverse faculty, staff, students and community members; c) active learning and use of technology in the learning process. Candidates must hold or be eligible for the Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology (CCC-SLP) awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Candidates must hold or be eligible for licensure by the Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board.
