Position Duties
The Department of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences (SLHS) at Loyola University Maryland invites applications for a 12-month, full time Assistant Clinical Professor to serve as Division Director of SLHS at the Loyola Clinical Centers (LCC), beginning in July 2026. The LCC is a mission-driven clinic that offers affordable, quality services in the areas of speech, language, hearing, literacy, and psychology to members of the greater Baltimore community and provides hands-on clinical training to Loyola graduate students in their respective Divisions. This position includes 40% teaching/supervision and 60% administrative responsibilities as the on-site manager for SLHS at the LCC. As the primary administrative and leadership representative for SLHS at the LCC, the Division Director is responsible for (1) coordinating the clinical curricula and services that support the learning aims and training goals of the graduate program for students in their first year internships in Speech-Language Pathology; (2) developing and implementing division operational policies and procedures to support the clinical training of our graduate students; and (3) serving as a member of the LCC and SLHS leadership teams, ensuring that the mission of the LCC is met and that it remains aligned with the clinical training needs of the SLHS department. In addition, the Division Director supports program development with clinical faculty, assists the LCC Executive Director, acts as the conduit between the LCC and the SLHS Department Chair, and provides managerial oversight to Clinical Faculty. The successful candidate excels in administration and possesses experience in the training and development of graduate student speech-language pathologists.

Salary Range: $78,000 - $79,500 (Master's degree); $85,500 - $88,000 (Terminal degree)
Required Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree or doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program;
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA);
- Eligibility for MD state licensure to practice speech-language pathology;
- Minimum of 3 years full-time (or its equivalent) clinical experience as a practicing speech-language pathologist;
- Completed a minimum of 2 hours of professional development in the area of supervision/clinical instruction as noted in ASHA’s Professional Development Requirements for the 2020 Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Certification Standards;
- Evidence of the knowledge and skills outlined by ASHA necessary for effective clinical supervision;
- Combination of leadership, administrative, and academic expertise to support the program's success;
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to contribute to the Jesuit educational mission of the department and university.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field including SLP-D;
- Prior successful academic or clinical teaching experience as instructor of record at the graduate and/or undergraduate levels;
- Prior successful experience in clinical administration;
- Familiarity with accreditation standards (e.g., CAA, ASHA) and clinical education best practices.
