DISCIPLINE Speech/Hearing Science TYPE Faculty

The Communication Disorders Program at the University of Central Missouri (UCM) in Warrensburg, MO invites applications for a 9-month, instructional faculty position beginning in the Fall Semester (August 2024). 

Responsibilities include (a) teaching 12 hours of undergraduate/graduate courses per semester including clinical supervision and (b) engaging in program, university, and discipline service. Summer teaching is possible.  Preference will be given to individuals with experience in the healthcare setting but all should apply.  Candidates must be eligible for Missouri licensure and hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech- Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing-Association for a minimum of 9 months prior to employment. Preferred candidates will possess experience instructing and mentoring student clinicians, experience teaching at the university level, and experience building and sustaining a clinical caseload. Candidates must also possess attention to detail, communication skills including oral, written and/or nonverbal. Knowledge of a university environment is preferred. Relations/interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
