Job Description:
The University of South Dakota invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Audiology within the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. This 11-month faculty position offers flexible start dates in January, May, or August 2027, and is ideal for those eager to shape the future of audiology education, research, and clinical practice.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in audiology (ABD considered) or related field.
Eligible for or holds a South Dakota Audiology license; eligible for or holds ASHA CCC-A and/or ABA Certification is preferred.
Job Description:
As a faculty member, you'll:
* Teach engaging didactic courses and supervise clinical practicum experiences.
* Contribute to a collaborative, student-centered environment.
* Develop and advance a research program in your area of expertise.
* Mentor students in research projects and support recruitment efforts.
* Participate in departmental, college, and university service.
* Provide clinical education across areas of audiologic practice, including hearing aid selection, fitting, and verification.
Effort allocation across teaching, research, and service is negotiable based on your strengths and interests. Candidates with teaching and research interests across all areas of audiology are encouraged to apply.
