ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, AUDIOLOGY
Full-time, consecutive-term appointment (based on experience and qualifications) 12-month position available immediately at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences (OUHS) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Required qualifications include an earned doctorate in audiology (PhD or AuD teaching/clinical supervision experience), eligibility for Oklahoma audiology licensure, the potential for successful didactic teaching, scholarship, and service, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Candidates who are
ABD with expected completion prior to hire will be considered.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferred qualifications include at least one year of experience in the clinical supervision of AuD students, the ability to mentor student research, history of successful application for grant funding, and evidence of engagement in collaborative research. Priority areas of expertise include use of simulation in AuD training, amplification, implantable hearing technology, and/or foundational coursework. The CCC-A is preferred but not required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Teaching didactic courses in the AuD program,
- Developing and supervising simulation activities for clinical training,
- Supervising AuD students in clinical practicum and capstone research projects,
- Conducting research/scholarship in area of expertise, and
- Contributing to university, college, department, and section committees.

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) is part of the College of Allied Health on the campus of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC) in Oklahoma City, OK. The College of Allied Health is one of seven colleges on the OUHSC campus. The CSD Department offers the only AuD program in the state.
