Assistant Professor, Audiology and/or Hearing Science
The University of Tennessee’s Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track Audiology faculty position (at the rank of assistant professor). This position is based in Knoxville, TN.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include teaching, supervising student research, conducting research in an area of interest, and service. The ideal applicant will have expertise in hearing aids, aural rehabilitation for adults, and/or hearing conservation.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- An earned Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.) in Audiology, Hearing Science or related fields.
- Strong record of scholarship commensurate with academic level in peer-reviewed journals and at professional meetings.
Desire to work in a dynamic and collegial academic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching experience in courses related to hearing aids, aural rehabilitation, and/or hearing conservation.
- Experience seeking extramural funding to support a research program
- Experience mentoring student research.
