ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, Speech-Language Pathology
Full-time, consecutive-term appointment for a 12-month position available immediately at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Required qualifications include an earned PhD degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field (a strong ABD candidate will be considered), evidence of successful university teaching, potential for a productive research program, and excellent interpersonal, outreach, and communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferred research areas of interest include fluency, craniofacial anomalies and disorders, and speech sound disorders, but other areas of expertise will be considered. Eligibility for professional licensure in Oklahoma. Candidates with evidence of grant funding activity, mentorship of graduate student research, and engagement in collaborative research at a large, comprehensive health center are strongly encouraged to apply.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Teach didactic courses in the MA-SLP and pre-professional Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders degree programs.
- Conduct research/scholarship in area of expertise.
- Mentor MA-SLP students in clinical and research activities.
- Contribute to university, college, department, and section committees.
