-Developing and teaching didactic academic courses in the SLP curriculum, including undergraduate prerequisite and graduate courses.
-Developing and executing a line of scholarly research that results in dissemination of knowledge.
-Participating in the clinical education of SLP students, including mentorship of student scholarly projects, clinical practicum and/or community outreach projects.
-Recording student assessment data to document their achievement at midterm and end of each semester.
-Participation in departmental meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other meetings or events, as required.
-Performing other duties as assigned by the administrators of the SLP program.
Candidates must hold an earned doctoral degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) or related area (Ph.D. or Ed.D) from an accredited institution. They must demonstrate a significant record of university teaching experience, clinical expertise and a line of scholarly work within the CSD disciplines. Preferred areas of expertise include neuroscience, research methods, aphasia, cognitive communication, motor speech disorders and dysphagia. Other areas of expertise that incorporate management of adult clients will be considered. Experience teaching in person and online is preferred.
Preferred qualifications to include experience with voice, dysphagia and neurocognitive disorders.
