The University of South Dakota invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in Audiology within the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. This 9-month faculty position offers flexible start dates in January, May, or August 2026, and is ideal for those eager to shape the future of audiology education, research, and clinical practice.

Qualifications:

Ph.D. in audiology (ABD considered) or related field.

Eligible for or holds a South Dakota Audiology license; eligible for or holds ASHA CCC-A and/or ABA Certification is preferred.

Job Description:

As a faculty member, you’ll:

Teach engaging didactic courses and supervise clinical practicum experiences.

Contribute to a collaborative, student-centered environment.

Mentor students in research projects and support recruitment efforts.

Develop and advance an independent research program aligned with audiology expertise.

Participate in departmental, college, and university service.

Effort allocation across teaching, research, and service is negotiable based on your strengths and interests. We welcome candidates with expertise across a wide range of audiology topics.
