Job Description:

The Department seeks a full time (9-month) tenure-eligible faculty member at the rank of Associate Professor to begin in the 2026-27 academic year. The following are duties for this position but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted, and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs.

Teaching: Primary teaching responsibilities for this position include graduate and undergraduate courses that may be offered on campus or online. The candidate may be expected to teach CSD courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels, including but not limited to motor speech disorders, speech anatomy and physiology, and dysphagia.

Scholarship: Maintain an active and ongoing role in research and scholarly productivity, including peer-reviewed presentations, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, securing research funding, and other related scholarly activities. Maintain awareness of current research trends and topics associated with speech-language pathology.

Service: Actively participate in university service (departmental, college, and university committees) and professional service. 


Requirements:

  • Ph.D. or Ed.D. in speech-language pathology or a related area
  • CCC-SLP
  • Holds or is eligible for a Kentucky state licensure in speech-language pathology
  • All successful candidates must have the ability to engage in alternative modes of instructional delivery, which may include online (distance learning) courses. Instruction modality is based on assigned teaching duties.
