The Communication Sciences and Disorders undergraduate program in Erie, PA prepares students to become health care professionals following the Liberal Studies core courses and the prerequisite standard courses for admission to a graduate program in speech-language pathology. Both 4 year and 3+2 pathways are offered for undergraduates. The Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program is a full-time 62 credit curriculum. The theoretical and practical professional curriculum consists of advanced courses, research, and clinical experiences relevant to the discipline and align with the certification requirements for the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. The SLP Program is equipped with advanced technology for voice and speech disorder analysis. Interprofessional collaboration is available with other health professions in the college, including radiologic science, OT, and PT. New SLP clinic space allows supervised student learning to occur with members of the community experiencing disorders of speech, language and/or hearing.

The Master of Science degree program in Speech-Language Pathology is a Candidate for Accreditation by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. A supportive clinical community allows a positive environment for teaching, scholarship, and service responsibilities.

The successful candidate must have an academic doctoral degree in a relevant discipline of speech-language pathology, minimum rank of assistant professor, ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence and be eligible for Pennsylvania SLP licensure.
