Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor, Speech-Language Pathology
The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide graduate student clinical education and training for CDS’s Master of Arts Graduate program in Speech-Language Pathology. Faculty are expected to take part in all facets of graduate SLP training including direct clinical supervision in the UB Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Clinic and in the Western New York Community, collaborate on research projects, and perform administrative duties associated with the clinic. The hired faculty member will be encouraged to develop their own specialty clinic and they will be expected to teach graduate level coursework within their areas of expertise. Additionally, faculty will be responsible for providing service to the department, to the university, and to the community.
Essential duties of the position include:
- Provide clinical speech-language pathology services in our UB Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Clinic and in the community.
- Educate and train graduate MA-SLP students in our clinic and in the community.
- Develop a specialty clinic in the faculty’s specialty area.
- Manage administration related to clinical training and clinical operations.
- Develop interprofessional and collaborative clinical relationships within and outside the university community.
- Teach 1-2 academic courses across the calendar year.
- Participate in service to the department, college, university and the profession.
