The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders in the College of Education and Human Development at Georgia State University invites applications for a full-time, clinical faculty position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor to begin in the Fall of 2025. This is a full-time academic year position.


Position Description

The faculty member will:

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in audiology (4-4 teaching load).
  • Supervise graduate students in on-campus and/or off-campus practicum experiences.
  • Contribute to the department, college, university, and professional service.

Required Qualifications

  • Have a minimum of 3 years of Audiology clinical experience
  • Hold CCC-A from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Be eligible for licensure in the state of Georgia
  • Ph.D. or Au.D. in Audiology at the time of appointment

About the Department

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders offers programs for master’s, Ph.D., Audiology Assistant Certificate, and an Audiology Specialty Certificate. The department has a strong reputation for excellent teaching, outstanding research and scholarly productivity, and outstanding clinical training with a diverse student body. The department recently launched the undergraduate Audiology Assistant Certificate Program, which offers coursework and supervised clinical experiences to prepare students for the ASHA certification exam and credentialing. The certificate program is available to GSU students at the Atlanta and Clarkston campuses. We also offer a newly approved Audiology Specialty Certificate program for post-baccalaureate and graduate students interested in audiology with a prime focus on interprofessional education and collaborative practice.
