This multifaceted role combines administration of our clinical training program, graduate-level instruction, scholarly activity, and direct patient services at the UD Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic. This is a full time, year-round, in person position.

Primary responsibilities:

• Build and maintain a network of high-quality clinical education sites across a diverse group of settings and learning experiences suitable for students.

• Strategically match 2nd year students with clinical placement sites and supervisors based on learning style, level of clinical expertise, and specific relevant opportunities.

• Lead clinical program compliance with CAA and ASHA standards, federal/state regulations, institutional policy, and site requirements.

• Work together with our leadership team to align and optimize the MA-SLP program with evolving standards and educational opportunities, based on your unique perspective, awareness of clinical education trends, and feedback from community clinical educators.

• Provide hands-on clinical supervision and patient care in UD’s Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic.

• Teach graduate-level courses aligned with your area(s) of expertise.

• Help develop UD as a regional center of excellence for clinical education and training to enhance leadership profiles of existing personnel and external clinical educators.

Key qualifications and skills:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required (PhD preferred), and 7+ years of clinical service, clinical education, clinical supervision (e.g., CF-mentorship), and/or clinical coordination experience.

• Current ASHA certification and licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the state of Delaware.

• Strong strategic thinking, counseling abilities, teaching expertise, and outstanding communication skills.

• Detail-oriented, evidence of administrative excellence, ability to work with a team, and ability to work within budgetary constraints.

• Interpersonal skills that support identifying student clinical strengths to enhance placement outcomes, effective communication across multiple modalities, and openness to learning new systems.
