Full Time Faculty online MS SLP program
New England Institute of Technology is seeking a doctoral prepared faculty member to join our team in the Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology Program that began enrollment in March 2025. The role of this faculty member will be to teach pediatric courses at the graduate level. This position may require other areas of teaching responsibilities to include simulation and interprofessional education. Given the hybrid program format, weekly attendance on campus in East Greenwich, RI, is required, as well as attending immersion week experiences for students, in person on campus, twice per year.
Required Qualifications
Earned doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, or Communication Sciences and Disorders or a closely related discipline. An Ed.D. may be considered, given an academic and clinical background in speech-language pathology.
• Possess a valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) and be eligible for licensure as a speech-language pathologist in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.
• Five years of experience providing clinical services in any setting as a speech language pathologist.
• Three years of experience providing supervision to graduate students, CFYs or other clinical support staff (e.g., SLPAs, SLA aides).
• Evidence of the ability to provide leadership for development or expansion of programs or services.
• Evidence of a commitment to culturally sustaining practices in diverse and inclusive contexts and communities
• Reliable transportation and internet access.
• Reside within the tri-state area (Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut).
• Specialization in the area(s) of:
-Child language
-Child speech sound/motor speech disorders
-Child feeding and dysphagia
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with mentoring students in the academic setting, academic excellence, and design and development of high-quality courses in areas of expertise.
• Knowledge and experience with the delivery of online learning with experience working with instructional design team.
• Experience with Canvas/other online learning modules, and teaching in higher education in the online learning environment.
