The Department of Speech-Language Pathology at Albizu University-Miami invites applicants for a full-time faculty position. This position features a balanced four-day hybrid schedule, with two remote days and two on-campus days. The anticipated start date for this position is Fall, 2025. The position will remain opened until filled.

Albizu University-Miami is a private, non-profit higher education institution serving its students and the diverse population of South Florida. The university has a rich history of helping working students advance in their careers while providing the flexibility and affordability critical to adult learners.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and deliver course syllabi, lectures, exams, and relevant academic materials.
2. Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
3. Engage in accreditation processes and monitor students requiring remediation.
4. Participate actively in faculty meetings and institutional activities.
5. Conduct mid-term and final student evaluations for each term.
6. Prepare and submit required academic reports and forms accurately and on time.
7. Attend institutional and campus meetings and training as appropriate.
8. Attend on-campus experience for distance education cohorts as determined by Program Director.
9. Complete other departmental duties as assigned by the Program Director.

Required Qualifications:

• PhD or EdD required; degree in speech-language pathology or communication sciences and disorders preferred. Candidates with a clinical doctorate (i.e., SLPD) may be considered.
• Strong background in adult language disorders, voice disorders, and dysphagia preferred. Candidates with other backgrounds are still encouraged to apply.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of Florida.
• Demonstrated teaching or training experience in speech-language pathology.
• Proven experience in mentoring or clinical supervision.

Salary: $75,000- $84,000
