Instructor/Assistant/Associate Professor of Speech- Language Pathology
The Department of Communication Disorders in the School of Allied Health Professions at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans seeks candidates for an open rank Instructor/Assistant/Associate Professor. Candidates with a terminal degree (PhD, EdD) are preferred. Candidates with an SLPD will also be considered.This is a 12-month faculty position located in person in New Orleans, Louisiana. The anticipated
start date is August 1, 2026.
Primary teaching and clinical responsibilities will be in the areas of adult neurogenics, medical speech-language pathology, and acquired motor speech disorders. The candidate will also be responsible for scholarly research activities in the area of candidate’s expertise, providing direct patient-student supervision in the LSU Health Speech-Language & Hearing Clinic, student mentoring, and service to the department and university. The successful candidate will demonstrate effectiveness in teaching, scholarship, and service, demonstrate effective communication skills, and demonstrate a commitment to collegiality in the workplace.
