
Open Rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full) Faculty FTE

Now accepting applications for an open-rank, full-time, 9-month position (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor; Tenure track) in neuroscience.
The successful candidate for this faculty position must have a Ph.D. or equivalent research doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related discipline (e.g., Neuroscience, Linguistics, Psychology, Education). Concurrent academic experience is highly preferred. Applicants at the rank of Assistant Professor must also have demonstrated evidence of high-quality scholarly research, the potential to successfully compete for external research funding, teach graduate-level courses, and collaborate with other researchers, including clinical researchers. Applicants at the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor must be accomplished scholars with years of experience in research, teaching, and service commensurate with academic policy and: 1) a substantial publication record in top-tier journals, 2) a record of securing research grants from national and international funding agencies, 3) a history of successful graduate student supervision, and 4) the leadership skills necessary to mentor junior faculty and students, contribute to curriculum development, and engage in interdisciplinary collaboration across the university. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining an independent, extramurally funded program of research within their area of expertise and maintaining a teaching load of two courses per year. The individual will share research space within the Department. They will also be responsible for contributing to service to the Department and University and in their field. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise and a strong publication history in neuroscience, widely construed, including hemodynamic methods, neurophysiology, structural imaging and lesion mapping and concurrent academic experience.
