The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders in the Arnold School of Public Health at the University of South Carolina invites applications for an open-rank, tenure track, full time (9-month) faculty position, beginning August 2025. Qualifications: PhD and a strong background in motor speech disorders, including the ability to teach the master’s course Motor Speech Disorders in the residential and distance-education program. 

Applicants at the rank of Assistant Professor must also have demonstrated evidence of high-quality scholarly research, the potential to successfully compete for external research funding, teach graduate-level courses, and collaborate with other researchers, including clinical researchers. Applicants at the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor must be accomplished scholars with years of experience in research, teaching, and service commensurate with academic policy and: 1) a substantial publication record in top-tier journals, 2) a record of securing research grants from national and international funding agencies, 3) a history of successful graduate student supervision, and 4) the leadership skills necessary to mentor junior faculty and students, contribute to curriculum development, and engage in interdisciplinary collaboration across the university.
