
Professorial Positions in Communication Disorders - Full Time, Tenure track (open rank)
The Department of Communication Disorders at Brigham Young University invites applications for two 10-month tenure-track (Open Rank) position to begin Fall 2026.
The first position (JR-3754) will focus on the areas of multilingual/multicultural issues, child or adolescent language, literacy, developmental disabilities, or complex communication is preferred. But all areas of specialization are encouraged to apply.
The second position (JR-380) has an emphasis on speech sound disorders, child language, literacy, complex communication needs, augmentative and alternative communication, or aural rehabilitation is preferred. Again, all areas of specialization are encouraged to apply.
Our speech-language pathology program is well-funded and actively growing. As a result, we are adding tenure-track positions in our department to better support our students. There are two full-time positions posted during this cycle.
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or equivalent in speech language pathology or a related field. The ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency is preferred but not required. Successful applicants will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, mentor undergraduate and graduate students in research, conduct research in their area of expertise, and provide university service.
We offer a BS degree in communication disorders and an MS degree in speech-language pathology. All graduate students complete a thesis. The graduate program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology, American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
