Job Summary/Basic Function: The Department of Health and Human Performance at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position (#130010) in our progressive Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology program at the rank of assistant or associate professor. The start date for the position is August 1, 2025.
Key Responsibilities: Teaching: Deliver undergraduate courses in anatomy and physiology, adult language and neurogenic communication disorders, and other related subjects. Supervision: Oversee honors research projects and guide undergraduate student clinicians. Advising: Provide academic and career advice to students. Service: Engage in public and university service activities. Grant Writing: Secure funding by creating and submitting grant proposals. Research: Conduct and publish innovative research in the field.

Required Education: A terminal degree in speech-language pathology or a closely related field is required by the appointment date.
Required License/Registration/Certification: A Certificate of Clinical Competence/SLP, and a Tennessee State License are required by the appointment date.
Other Desirables: Those with an expertise in anatomy and physiology, adult language and neurogenic communication disorders, and dysphagia will receive special consideration.
