The Position:
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) at Augustana College invites applications for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor to begin in August 2025 (or January 2026, if preferred). This is an exciting opportunity to join a department with a well-established undergraduate program and a growing Master’s program in Speech-Language Pathology (MS-SLP), accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in areas such as aphasia, motor speech disorders, neural bases of human communication, and acquired cognitive-communication disorders, with opportunities to design courses aligned with your expertise.
Carry a teaching load of 24 credits per 10-month academic year (standard courses are 2 or 4 credits).
Engage in collaborative research and mentorship with students in the program.
Actively contribute to the inclusive and innovative teaching practices that define Augustana’s learning environment.

A Ph.D. or near completion in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related field is preferred. Preference is given to candidates who hold the CCC/SLP and are eligible for Illinois state licensure in speech-language pathology.
