WEBINAR: Critical AI Literacy: Bias, Accessibility, and Clinical Dialogue

WEBINAR: Critical AI Literacy: Bias, Accessibility, and Clinical Dialogue

Tuesday, February 17, 2026 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) (EST)

Description

AI is transforming how we work, learn, and communicate. Even as we begin to experiment with incomplete and imperfect AI tools to meet some needs of students, clients, and/or our own workflow, we must first critically evaluate AI-powered tools from a technical and pedagogical perspective. This session will explore hidden biases in generative AI datasets and the potential harm of these biases. I will share a set of guiding questions and reflections that promote thoughtful dialogue about the clinical application of AI tools. I will also recommend an approach to developing critical AI literacy, so that SLPs can unpack AI output and the cost of relying on these tools without critical thought.
